Accelerate your engine at the start line and you can achieve a faster take off when you switch to 1st gear allowing you opportunity to get a head start on your opponent. Hold spacebar down to give gas to your engine. Use UP/DOWN keys to shift gears up/down. Use X-key to stop your car when you cross the finish line. Watch your RPM gauge and shift gears at the proper time not too soon and not too late. You can choose one of three modes. Good luck!
